Interesting. Most other reviews of the Ryobi 1800 rate it 1050 PSI and 1.4 GPM using a 2.5 orifice.

Great diagnostics & repair dude! I can't believe the engineers at Honda couldn't grace us with a fuel pump access panel. That's such a massive F-up! Honda & Toyota are usually really good about not doing S like that. My F-150 truck is the same way though, no access panel! I'm gonna have to cut a hole in my bed to get to it! Unreal! So dumb! And so is dropping the tank to "do the job correctly." No way, it's so much extra work for no reason.

Do you find issues when using an adapter? I do a lot of gunsmithing that requires a 1/2" drive torque wrench. But a lot of the 1/2" wrenches on the market have a minimum value that's too high. A 3/8" wrench has a more appropriate torque range but I would have to use a 1/2" adapter.

Purchased the Macnaught initially it disappointed me - I also had difficulty in locking it on and removing it - but persisted and soon learnt that once you mastered how to use the lock knob (that black bit) it is very easy and positive to lock on and also release - think outside of the box - now I use it on my excavator and loader pins rather than the Lock n Lube.

What I don’t like about the reversible harbor freight and snap on sets is that you have to use both hands to use them for external rings by separating the handles. It’s better to use one hand to use the tool and the other hand to cover the snap ring so it doesn’t go flying off and get lost.

There is some alternative with similar specs to M12 FPDX always with percussion function?

I found that Tool Daily also carries an upgraded version of the base model you reviewed, fittings seem to be the all-brass of the base model, but bottle is plastic on plastic fitting with a wide mouth and wider base, still comes with extra nozzles, and what looks like the plastic adjustment shielding from the 1.5 liter model.

I'd use one of those to do the head bolts on my junk sub 100 hp econo shitbox.

Definitely would be interested in seeing some midrange priced electric pressure washers to see if there's any actual performance difference or are all 115v pressure washer roughly same due to amperage limitations. Maybe the more expensive just have better quality components and longevity?

I'm curious about the higher end models that claim PSIs that seem impossible from 120V (e.g. 3000 PSI) -from otherwise reputable brands (Greenworks, Dewalt, to a lesser extent Westinghouse), not just no-name stuff online who routinely lie. I am curious about that theoretical ceiling of pressure/flow from a 120V 15A source.

I have the Ryobi brushless. Buddy of mine gave it to me since he doesn't have a need for it and it came with his kit. I've been happy with it in my limited use and, of course, the price 😊

I bought the Westinghouse to replace a Greenworks electric power washer. So far it's been great and I love the form factor. Power washer attachment in the front and hose attachment in the back with wheels so you can drag it around. Pretty happy with the wand but I'll likely upgrade the hose to a flexzilla at some point. Put a quick connects on every point. Works well with my chemical guys foam cannon. Nothing wrong with the Green Works. Just like the form factor on this a little better.

I like the audio test portion... not all decibels are created equal. The higher pitch ones are very annoying. Additional tests could be items from Home Depot and Lowe's... which are the most common DIY store. Sun Joe comes to mind for budget home lawn and pressure washer equipment.

Recently bought a Tekton 1/4" and finally cured an intermittent valve cover leak by carefully torqueing to 78in-lbs as the manual said. For years I'd been pussy-footing around and erring on the side of having them slightly under rather than risk them stripping.

Have the Ryobi (caught it on sale at the local home cheapo with a 10% off coupon for $90) coupled with an Essential Washer gun ($40) & Uberflex (blue) hose ($50) and the MJJC Pro 2 foam cannon ($80). The combo lays Adam's Mega Foam ($50/gal) like a champ--super thick.

This is really interesting. I say this because of the way you tested and what I had assumed. I had assumed that all these pressure washers that worked on a 15amp circuit would have similar performance, but watching testing done by Auto detailers of many of these pressure washers showed I was wrong. For example, I've seen the Active produce 2 GPM with a 4 orifice tip and produce 1100 psi, where the vast majority of others couldn't get close to that psi with the same tip. But your testing is different. It actually confirms my assumptions. Oh well.. I had to purchase the CAT 1800 because when I went to buy the Active VE52 on Amazon, they were sold out a week ago. I guess you got the one I was looking to buy.

Are you testing on 120 or 230v? It tends to make a huge difference on pressure washers. On 230v you can get over 3kw units while 120v tends to be limited to 1.8kw.

Milwaukee is actually assembled china not made in china.

Please put about 10 hrs on each one and run the psi and gpm test again . That will give you a better result on which one is better quality.

There seems to be very few differences between the brands, so it looks like selecting one based on cost isn't a bad way to pick one. I think I paid about $90 for my Greenworks unit when I got it about 3 years ago.

I just count the clicks from 15 to 18 inch pounds then hope it’s at 18 but my fat wrench works great I’m glad I got the manual model

I just purchased two supposedly genuine 6 AH Makita batteries through Amazon, and I was suspicious as soon as I tried to charge them. They wouldn’t slide easily into my chargers, and I had to literally force them in order to get them to begin charging. I also noticed that both batteries had exactly the same serial number. Once fully charged, I ran them in my dual battery Makita leaf blower which only ran for five minutes before shutting down. One of the batteries was sizzling and oozing liquid. It was DOA and I wouldn’t dare put it back on the charger. I immediately processed a return to seller through Amazon. This is a dreadful situation, and creates a severe fire, hazard and risk of explosion. I am inclined to file a lawsuit against Amazon for its failure to adequately monitor the sale of counterfeit batteries on its platform.

Do these scanners show lifetime mileage? If someone changed dashboard mileage meter then the chip would have registered total miles right?
